TECHNOLOGY FOR THE MARITIME AND OFFSHORE MAINTENANCE INDUSTRY

WE CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY! WE CARE ABOUT SUSTAINABILITY! WE HELP CHANGE MAINTENANCE PRACTICES TO THE BETTER!

About

Opco is the owner of proprietary innovative technology, which helps to make maritime and offshore maintenance practices greener and safer.
The innovations are the result of significant investments in research and development.

We pride ourselves on pursuing the goals and promote the achievements of the founders and the cadre of ingenious engineers who were instrumental in changing maintenance practices to the better.

ACHIEVEMENTS

OFFSHORE

This is a set of technical inventions which facilitate access of otherwise difficult to reach sections of jack-up rigs. The starting point of the technical inventions was the idea of reducing downtimes of jack-up rigs lack of scaffolding or roping requirements and to make operations safer.

A fully modular access platform systems (“JUMP”) designed for any customary Jack-Up rig legs to enable inspection, maintenance, repair or leg extension. Crane and/or workman basket appliances can be added to the platform depending on the work scope. The system is self propelled and provides direct and fully unimpeded access to the worksite. It replaces or complements scaffolding and climbing.

Example: ROWEN VIKING

The Inspection Platform was designed for inspection or smaller works on legs of jack-up rigs and is configurable to various leg designs. Inspection is mandatory, time consuming, sometimes dangerous and can entail a halt of operations. The use of IP’s, though, will allow for safe and fast working even during operations.

ACHIEVEMENTS

MARITIME

The Equipment caters for the facilitated maintenance of commercial ship hulls. The starting point of innovations was the astonishment on the fact that ship coating, an industrial process, is still a manual procedure.

TThe quality of the hull surface is instrumental as regards the reduction on fuel consumption. Hull condition contributes more to fuel reduction than the engine condition.

HTC combines

  • High pressure washing
  • Spot detection
  • Ultra-high pressure jetting (3000 bar)
  • Automated application of coat

HTC application will yield the following benefits:

  • Hull Smoothness and longer anti-fouling protection reduces the vessel's fuel consumption;
  • Reduction in headcount;
  • Increase in safety;
  • Incomparably somooth blasting result will cater for increased coating adhesion;
  • Reduction of overspray from 30 % to approx. 5 %;
  • No aggressive grit dust will benefit man and equipment;
  • Closed system vacuuming loose materials and used water – emission control; and
  • Efficiency of HTC operation can reduce dock time and maintenance cost.
